So now I’m going to share my sadness with the universe. Not long ago, thanks to one of my wonderful friends who’s not afraid to fund my gamer cravings, I got Pikmin. And MGS:Twin Snakes, but that really does not matter. Never had a chance to play all those wonderful Game Cube games for the obvious reason of not having Game Cube. I was perfectly aware that I’ll need another, older controller for playing them (although watching “press start” with wiimote in hands is hilarious due to the lack of start button on the original Wii controller). So I got myself one of those new, flashy Classic Controllers designed for Wii. Perfect for playing Virtual Console games, it said. Ha-ha, that service is still unavailable in Russia. Then again, no on-line Nintendo services are available in Russia now. And it didn’t work. What’s more, MGS told me that it needed the original memory card for saves. Such a nice surprise. I’m not complaining, no. If it wants a memory card and an old GC controller, a memory card and an old GC controller it will get. But… I just wanted to play them right here, right now and… Now I’ve got to wait and get rid of my frustration ether through yoga on Wii Fit or by killing with bullet-time style in Max Payne 2.
